City offices will be closed on Monday November 11th, 2024, in observation of Veterans Day and will reopen on Tuesday for normal business hours.

DON'T FORGET, THIS SUNDAY IS FALL BACK!!! In 2024, daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. That will put us back into standard time and end Daylight Saving Time (DST). When clocks reach 2 a.m. local time, they will go back one hour to 1 a.m. Many devices, such as phones and computers, will automatically change to standard time, but non-smart devices, such as microwaves and some car radios, as well as any clock with hands, will likely need to be changed manually.

REMINDER!!! Local political analyst Pat Nolan will speak at City Hall tonight art 5:30 pm on the state of the upcoming election. Come out and join us!

TRAFFIC ALERT FOR THE MORNING! Crew will be out installing speed humps on Otter Creek Road from Robert E Lee Dr. to Granny White Pike. This section of the road will be closed, and traffic will be detoured onto Robert E Lee Drive. Crews expect to be completed by tomorrow afternoon.

TRAFFIC DETOUR ALERT FOR MONDAY MORNING!!! Paving crews will be working on speed hump repairs along Otter Creek Road from Robert E Lee Drive to Granny White Pike on Monday October 14th. This section of Otter Creek Road will be shut down in the morning hours and traffic will be detoured onto Robert E Lee Drive.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the October 2024 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting will be cancelled and rescheduled to the November meeting on 11-08-2024 at 8am at City Hall. Please see our latest website news at www.cityofforesthills.com for more details.

Severe Weather Alert!!! Possible flooding and severe winds expected from remnants of Hurricane Helene beginning on Thursday evening and ending Saturday morning. Please see our city website at www.cityofforesthills.com for the latest news.

We have a report of a water main break in the 1600 block of Tyne Blvd. Metro Water services crews are in route to assess the situation. We will follow up with more details as they become available.
