Just wanted to give everyone a glimpse of the next few days where it is going to get very cold and down to the single digits with wind chills below zero. Please take the proper cold temperature precautions at your home for the upcoming weather. We don't anticipate any road problems in our area, but we will continue to monitor the local forecast.
Extreme Cold Forecast Details
Rain will develop across Middle Tennessee Friday night and last through Saturday. Most places can expect 0.3” to 0.6” of rain with this system.
As temperatures drop Saturday night, rain is expected to change to light snow, which will taper off on Sunday. Snowfall accumulations will range from a dusting up to ½” generally south of I-40 and ½” to up to 1” north of I-40.
Temperatures will drop below freezing Saturday night and won’t rise above freezing until Wednesday or Thursday, depending on your location.
Dangerously cold temperatures will settle in Sunday night and will last through early Wednesday. Please take necessary precautions.

A strong low-pressure system will move across the Gulf Coast on Monday night and Tuesday. At this time, it appears that the wintry weather associated with this system will stay to the south and east of Middle Tennessee.
The 6-10 day outlooks favor below normal temperatures and near normal precipitation across Middle Tennessee. Mild temperatures with breezy south winds today.
