Tree work

The Parke Co. performing tree work along the median on Chickering Lane from the intersection of Chickering Lane to the dead end of Chickering Lane as illustrated in the highlighted area of the attached map below.

The project will consist of removing several Bradford Pear trees along this corridor which are in bad health or pose a safety risk to drivers and overhead utilities. In the next few months, there will be 57 new trees planted along this same area. The three species that were chosen for the area were Overcup Oak, Blackgum, and American HornBeam which are all native to this area (pictures are below). These new plantings will create a beautiful new look along this corridor for many years to come.

During the project, workers will only have one lane closed along the immediate area they are working and will have traffic control present. This project will be done in several phases with the first phase being this Thursday & Friday (8-22 & 8-23-24) during daytime hours only. We will put out additional notifications when they become available to us. We apologize for the inconvenience and please let us know if you have any problems or concerns.
