We are excited to announce the completion of our City-Wide Camera/LPR Project. The city was able to obtain a federal grant in 2021 that paid for 100% of the project, therefore costing zero to our residents. The cameras have already assisted in several criminal and non-criminal cases where they have been proven to be a valuable asset to the city and its resident's.
Today we have 47 live Camera/LPR locations to help watch over our residents and keep them safe. These cameras are recording 24/7 but do have procedures and guidelines for accessing and releasing data to the public. I have attached our current city policy for data storage and release, city camera map, and a picture of a camera unit for your reference.
