John C. Lovell Bikeway
The John C. Lovell Bikeway opened in June 2005 and was named after the former Mayor John C. Lovell, the project’s primary proponent. The bikeway begins at the Otter Creek Road entrance of Hounds Run subdivision, runs along Robert E. Lee Drive, and follows along Granny White Pike to the Granny White Market. From there, patrons can cross Granny White Pike using the crosswalk to access Radnor Lake. The bikeway was built by leveraging grant funding authorized by the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991. The bikeway was enhanced in 2010 using a Transportation Enhancement Program grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation
